 कछला गंगाघाट पर तड़के से ही आस्था संगम शुरू हो गया जो दोपहर बाद तक बरकरार रहा। हजारों की संख्या में जुटे श्रद्धालुओं ने गंगा में डुबकी लगाकर सूर्यदेव का अर्घ्य देकर सुख और शांति की कामना की। गंगा के दोनों छोर पर खासी भीड़ रही। हवन-पूजन भी कराया गया। बच्चों के मुंडन संस्कार भी कराए गए। महिलाओं ने संकीर्तन कर भजन गाए। ब्राह्मण और साधु-संतों को दान-दक्षिणा भी दी गई।<\/p>\n

गंगाघाट पर लगे मेला में श्रद्धालुओं ने घरेलू सामान की खरीददारी की। बच्चों ने मनोरंजन के संसाधनों का लुत्फ उठाया। घाट पर  ज्यादा भीड़ होने की वजह से खासकर महिलाओं को परेशानी का समाना भी करना पड़ा। कोतवाल हरपाल सिंह बालियान  कछला चौकी इंचार्ज प्रमोद  ने ड्यूटी पर लगाए गए अतिरिक्त पुलिस फोर्स की निगरानी की।<\/p>\n
